The government should be able to mandate vaccines when necessary in order to protect public health. Vaccines are an essential tool in preventing the spread of diseases that can cause serious harm or death. When a significant portion of the population is vaccinated, it creates herd immunity, which helps protect those who cannot receive vaccines due to medical reasons. However, if too many people choose not to vaccinate themselves or their children, it can put vulnerable populations at risk. Mandating vaccines is not a new concept. Schools already require students to be vaccinated against certain diseases in order to attend. Additionally, some employers may require vaccinations as a condition of employment, such as in the healthcare industry. Mandating vaccines is a way to ensure that everyone is doing their part to protect public health.

Anti-vaccine advocates have appropriated the slogan "My Body, My Choice." The slogan, a slogan mostly associated with reproductive rights for nearly half a century, has led a nationwide campaign against mask and vaccine mandates. That includes California, where lawmakers have vowed to impose the toughest mandates. Adopting vaccination requirements in the United States . i oppose this because the people that refuse to get the vaccine are putting the people at risk that may not be able to get the vaccine because people want to be stubborn and not get it they are not only harming themselves but also people around them and this is when the government steps in because when someone does something to to affect other people then they are not in the right. it only takes one person to cause a nation wide disease spread so for someone that chooses to not get the vaccine they are selfish and are only thinking about themselves. ¨ why parents refuse vaccines for their kids. Opposition to vaccines grew in the 1980s among parents concerned about school vaccine requirements. Those parents said they didn't have enough information about vaccines' potential harmful effects, but it wasn't partisan at the time, Reich said¨. the parent that refuse to get their kid vaccinated they are harming other parents and other children that may be around their child i have come to a understanding why parents are not sure about getting their kid vaccinated because they are not certain about what effect it may have on their child but if the government says its the right thing then we should listen to them because its not fair for other people to get affected because someone doesnt get the vaccine.

The government does not have the right to mandate vaccines upon its citizens.Individuals come up with the claim that ¨vaccines¨ are effective and it can prevent other individuals from getting sick but they are sadly mistaken.According to the World Health Organization website, it directly states that ¨vaccines do not provide full (100%) protection,so breakthrough can happen. And according to the national institue of health, it states that vaccinations can be linked to many disablities and even deaths such as autism, sudden infant death syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease. So tell me this, why would you want to risk giving your kid a vaccine if there is a possibility in the air that your kid may either die or become disabled? That being said,I am not saying that vaccines should just be banned altogether and that you should just not be allowed to use vaccines. It is your choice whether or not your kid gets a vaccine or not,but you shouldn´t be forced to make an opinion by the government when it´s not even 100%

I believe that it should not be mandated that you need to be vaccinated but I believe that it should be highly recommended. According to Jim Jordan he tweeted that vaccines being mandated is “ un-American ” meaning that the idea of vaccines being mandated is not traditional. The original idea of vaccines and its traditional origins are known as having the choice of wanting to get vaccinated or not. Ron Desantis also agrees with me that vaccines should not be mandated, he states "We're going to make sure people are able to make their own choices. We're not going to discriminate against people based on those choices, and you're going to have a right to operate in society. " Others have a different opinion, President Joe Biden argues that all people should get the vaccine and it should be mandated. However, they fail to consider the failure of protecting the rights of citizens in the United States. These reasons are why I believe that vaccines should not be mandated, Although they should be highly recommended.

The government should not have the right to mandate the vaccination. According to the article, people say vaccines are ineffective meaning that they don't prevent transmission and they were harmful. Though some beleive that the vaccine is ineffective others have a different opinion. The government argues that vaccines is required for everyone meaning that there is a less chance of getting sick. However, they fail to consider the effects of the vaccine to certain people with bad health which is why i beleive it shouldnt be mandatory.

The government should have full control on if people should get the vaccine.According to Ali Mokdad, "Vaccine hesitancy is a big problem for all of us." meaning that for the people who are scared to get the vaccine they are affecting the health of everyone else. Though some believe that the government should have full control, others have a different opinion. Joyce Ann Kraner argues that "We don't know the long-term effects. We don't know what it's going to do." meaning she is suspicious about the vaccine and dose not trust it. However, she fail to consider the benefits of getting the vaccine which is why the government should have full control on if people should get the vaccine.

The government should be able to mandate vaccines in order to protect peoples health.Vaccines are important because they help protect your body and help it fight off infections. By getting vaccinated, you can protect yourself and also avoid spreading preventable diseases to other people in your community. According to Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kaganthey said "the conservative majority seriously misapplies the applicable legal standards. And in so doing, it stymies the Federal Government's ability to counter the unparalleled threat that COVID–19 poses to our Nation's workers." meaning the government really suggests that you get vaccinated President Biden also says he was "disappointed that the Supreme Court has chosen to block common-sense life-saving requirements for employees at large businesses that were grounded squarely in both science and the law." which is why it is important to get vaccinated, the government is really trying to support the community and takie care of their citizens.

yes, the government should have the right to mandate vaccination. According to CNN article,¨ The supreme court has long held that states have the authority to require vaccination,¨ and lots of cases have supported this authority. Additionally, a New York Times article states that ¨ vaccines are a proven way to prevent disease and protect public health,¨ and that vaccine mandates have been successful in increasing vaccination rates and reducing the spread of disease. Though some believe that the government should have the right to mandate vaccination, others have a different opinion. Some argue that the government should not have the right to mandate vaccination because they think its unethical cause they might infringe on personal liberties or because they violate religious freedom. However, they fail to consider vaccination benefits everybody which is why the government should have the right to mandate vaccination.

The government should not have the right to be able to mandate vaccinations because it's not lawful and some people would rather not have the vaccine or have their children vaccinated as some groups would protest " My body, my choice " like it states in the article," d they're succeeding. Vaccine opponents have appropriated "My Body, My Choice," a slogan that has been inextricably linked to reproductive rights for nearly half a century, to fight mask and vaccine mandates across the country — including in California, where lawmakers had vowed to adopt the toughest vaccine requirements in the U.S,". This also supports my opinion that the government should not mandate the vaccine

Vaccines have become a problem when they become mandatory for serious viruses while some people who don't want to get vaccinated could affect hundreds of people from a healthy life because of some misleading information that might be put out while some people argue if they should be vaccinated or not Dr Oxiris Barbot said "everyone who has not been vaccinated and cannot prove they are immune to measles or produce a medical exemption should be vaccinated" while this led to people thinking Mayo De Blasio stated "New yorkers in the affected who refuse to let themselves or children could be fined fined 1000 dollars.People started arguing and stating it was wrong of them to not give them the choice to be vaccinated or not Henning Jacobson also agreed saying the Vaccine was an invasion of his liberty as many other people agreed with him. Many people have said that the government shouldn't be forcing them to get their vaccine and shouldn't be deciding for them while others argue that the government should make it mandatory and force people to get it because they will affect the people around them as Donald G McNeil says the court upheld the authority of states to enforce compulsory vaccination on the grounds that, when danger loomed, an individual’s freedom could be subordinated to the common good but John Harlan wrote for the majority that individuals could not be forcibly vaccinated. How ever they fail to consider to realize that some people may be scared to get it which is why all these problems happen caused by false information that may have be spread out.

The government should have control over vaccinations, and the right to force it on people for other peoples well being. according to The national library of medicine it says "Mandatory vaccination is used to provide herd immunity, but is refutable due to infringement of human rights and autonomy. " meaning that people should use vaccines to take care of other people and themselves F.K Cheng the author of the artical also agrees that "Although vaccines demonstrate effectiveness against this disease, vaccine hesitancy reveals concerns towards short-term and long-term side effects or adverse reactions such as post-inoculation death."because these vaccines contain things that cause short term life and other problems though some believe that the vaccine can cause people to be protected and make the virus go away others have a different opinion religious people agree that "is allowed when adherents show reluctance in that vaccination deviates from their belief tenets, despite the simultaneous existence of opposite and permissive views among Hindu, Protestant, Buddhist, Muslim and Jewish communities." meaning that i think for them it is allowed and some agree that it isnt allowed due to there religion. However they fail to consider that other people are effected to which is why i think the government should enforce vaccines

I believe the government should not have the right to mandate vaccinations because there are a lot of effects it can do to a person if they have health problems or different kinds of problems. ¨My body my choice¨ said by an anti-vaccination groups is a good slogan because is simple but proves the point because they can do what they want with their body and other people should not choice what they have to do.Like it state in the article "My Body, My Choice," a slogan that has been inextricably linked to reproductive rights for nearly half a century, to fight mask and vaccine mandates across the country — including in California, where lawmakers had vowed to adopt the toughest vaccine requirements in the U.S.With all that i think it should not be mandated and up for the person to decide if they want to the vaccine .

The government should be able to mandate vaccines when it's necessary to protect peoples health.Because vaccines are very important to help protect your body against diseases and inflections.By getting vaccinated.you protect yourself and others from spreading diseases.because according to a article from npr west hansen trys to convicing people to get vaccined but the people who dont feel like it goes against christianity and their beliefs.but even though the vaccines are FDA approved and recommended by CDC because their safe and effective at preventing serious/fatal cases of viruses and diseases. People wont get vaccined putting themselves and everyone at risk mostly children and because of this it causes deaths of themselves and children.however most people forget the benefits of getting vaccinated and the effects of not getting vaccined could effect everyone else around them.

The government should have the right to mandate vaccination. According to Jeffery Frankel " all 50 US states require that children be vaccinated against several communicable diseases: diphtheria, whooping cough, polio, measles, rubella, and chicken pox. The vaccines have virtually eliminated these six diseases, which used to kill millions" meaning Jeffery Frankel also agrees that the government should be able to mandate vaccines because he adds a point saying that forcing vaccines in the past has proven to eliminate the diseases.

Should the government have the right to mandate vaccination?yes according to herminia palacio When you make the decision not to vaccinate your child, please understand you're also making that decision for the people around your child. However some vaccinations can harm and even kill children. Adults and children in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, are now required to get the measles vaccine. They could be fined up to $1,000 if they don't. This announcement comes as the number of measles cases has more than doubled in the last six weeks. The outbreak has mostly impacted the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community here. And with Passover gatherings coming up, there's concern it could worsen. Deputy Mayor Dr. Herminia Palacio.

I think im mixed up on whether the government should mandate vaccines or not. Even though there has been false information that has been spread around vaccines resulting in scaring people off from getting them, there has also been bizarre cases that have been discovered from people who got vaccines. For example, the COVID vaccine. Paul Goepfert, M.D., director of the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic at the University of Alabama at Birmingham has studied vaccines for nearly 30 years and thinks that vaccines are effective but began to see weird cases starting to pop up and people who have had the vaccine started experiencing rare side effects.About one in 100,000 people receiving the AstraZeneca COVID vaccine have experienced a clotting disorder known as thrombotic thrombocytopenia, including 79 cases among more than 20 million people receiving this vaccine in the United Kingdom, and 19 deaths. Goepfert says that the causes are still being worked out for that but even more weird side effects starting getting discovered. Myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) has been reported in people receiving Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. The FDA announced that in rare cases, the J&J vaccine is associated with Guillan-Barré syndrome. Now the odds are rare but it is still likely that this can happen to you. Now on the other hand, if you dont get vaccines for viruses like COVID etc., you have a risk of getting infected with it, possibly even spreading it if you're not careful. Then there are other people who are headstrong and stubborn and dont want to get vaccines just because they dont want to which i completely disagree with those people. I have mixed feeling about it because both, people getting vaccines and people not getting vaccines have negative effects.

According to the government, it has no right to force a person to be vaccinated, but it has every right to motivate the person to make the choice that is considered right, which is to get vaccinated. If the choice is no, this has consequences, because it could affect the rest of the population who are in the same danger and who made the right decision. According to the US government, 80 million Americans have not yet been vaccinated against Covid-19, still millions of deaths. Americans who have not been vaccinated and have lost close relatives say: “If only I had been vaccinated”. "If only." This shows the need for the vaccine in everyone. From the moment that some people refuse to be vaccinated, this means that the population cannot have the opportunity to be protected from any disease that is dangerous and can.

The government should be mandating vaccines because it helps create less risk for children and grandparents and helps surpass the most deadly viruses/diseases. According to the Meningitis Research Foundation, they say vaccination rates have rapidly decreased." Rates of exemptions have increased in recent years and studies have shown that vaccine exemptions tend to cluster geographically, leaving some communities at greater risk for disease outbreaks. Additionally, it seems that some parents delay vaccinating their children until they start school. This is not ideal because babies are much more vulnerable to the diseases for which vaccines are scheduled in the first year of life. They need that protection early." Meaning that the more parents try to either delay or not vaccinate their child they are more likely to get one of the many diseases we have. Though some believe the government should be mandating vaccines others have a different opinion. The National Library of Medicine says that the reasons people are anti-vaccines are because of "religious reasons, personal beliefs or philosophical reasons, safety concerns, and a desire for more information from healthcare providers...This will better enable healthcare personnel to provide the education and awareness that patients' families need to make responsible immunization choices." However yes there are concerns people still need to be vaccinated for the health of the people around them. The main reason they aren't though is because of false information they hear on the internet.

The government should not have the right to mandate vaccination. According to Can The Government Make Me Get The Covid Vaccine, "When they came to Henning Jacobson, he objected. He argued that vaccines are ineffective. He argued that they don't prevent transmission. And he argued that they were harmful." meaning that some people don't want to get vaccinated and also agrees that they should not mandate covid vaccines. Though some believe that the government should not mandate vaccinations others have a different opinion. New York Ramp up the Battle Against a Measles Outbreak in Brooklyn agrues that "I am convinced people will learn how the Department of Health is committed, and will never get fines because everybody is going to be vaccinated" meaning In New York they would fine people $1,000 if they did not get vaccinated. However they fail to consider some people would prefer to go with their rights and choose to not get vaccinated which is why the government should not have the right to mandate vaccination.

The government should not have the right to mandate vaccines. I say this beacause according to https://www.bbc.com/news/world-59506339 its states "When it comes to vaccines, people do think very differently," says Vageesh Jain, a public health doctor at the Institute for Global Health at University College London. "Anything that's administered to them in their body, it's not going to be thought of in the same way, even though academics and others may think theoretically it's just a restriction, people do have this kind of emotive response." This supports my claim because why are u obligatiing people to put something in there bodies when they dont want to , its not consented. Im not against vaccines i just think it shouldnt be mandatory.

The government should be able to mandate vaccines when its necessary to protect the masses of people because if something like covid breaks out again it should be mandated because the people that werent vaccinated were protected by the masses that were vaccinated because the virus couldn't spread as fast unlike if the masses were unvaccinated.
